- The Temple of Literature: the very first university in Vietnam, built in 1070 under Emperor Ly Thanh Tong
- Vietnam Museum of Ethnology houses a display of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority people.
- Take a cyclo (xich lo) around Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarters with 36 streets, stop at The Huc Bridge and Ngoc Son Temple.
- Enjoy the water puppet show – a picture of the typical daily activities in Vietnam rural area.

– Once arriving at Lao Cai Railway Station, our driver and local guide will pick your family up for hotel check-in.
– After breakfast, start trekking down from Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai Village – the village of Black H’mong ethnic people.
– Experience the traditional culture of Dzay – a small local ethnic minority group in Lao Chai village. This village possesses a rich culture and beautiful stilt-houses nestled by terraced rice paddy fields.
– Remember to join a local ethnic market where ethnic people wear their traditional colorful dresses and sell their farming products and handicrafts as souvenirs.

– The highlight of today’s trip is conquering Fansipan Mountain, which is known romantically as the roof of Indochina by modern cable car system in Sapa. This is the world’s longest and highest cable car.
– With the height of 3,154 meters above the sea level, Fansipan the highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina Peninsula. From the top, you and your children will admire the mesmerizing views of the sea of clouds mixed with forested slopes.
– Enjoy the scenery and magnificent landscapes of Muong Hoa Valley – the biggest valley in Sapa, Hoang Lien National Forest while being on the cable.
– Nestled at the bottom of Muong Hoa Valley, about three kilometers from Sapa town, Cat Cat Village is a particularly famous village. The ethnic minority families of H’mong and Dzao cultivate rice and corn, create handicrafts and weave fabric here.

– After a hearty breakfast, head to Bac Ha town where famous, bright and busy market is held every Sunday. Hundreds people of ethnic minority groups such as Black Dzao, Nung, Tay, Flower H’mong, Phu La wear attractive and colorful traditional costumes coming here for trading products.
– Experience local food and drinks like Thang Co (made from buffalo and horse meat), a typical dish of the highlanders; Pho Ga (noodles with chicken soup); BBQ beef, thick green rice cake and corn wine.
– Let’s take a trekking to Hoang A Tuong Palace – the palace of Meo’s King. This is the perfect combination of Chinese and French architectural style with a two-story structure.
– In the afternoon, transfer to Ha Giang city via Xin Man and Hoang Su Phi, both of them are very famous for hundreds years old terraced rice paddy fields.

– On the sixth day of this tour, Viet Prestige Travel’s driver and guide will escort your family through stunning views of rice terraces, mountains, hills and valleys to Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Consisting of four districts Meo Vac, Dong Van, Yen Minh, and Quan Ba, this site is a unique combination between Geoheritages and cultural heritages.
– Swing by Quan Ba Heaven Gate (Fairy Mountain or Twin Mountain). This land is home to Tay, Mong, and Dzao; therefore, it embraces a rich treasury of folk cultures with countless poems, folk tunes, fairy tales and legends.
– Go hiking to Truc Son Village of Dzao ethnic minority group and Nam Dam village of Dzay ethnic minority group to experience the local life.
– The next stop is Yen Minh Pine Forest – the second Dalat of Northern Vietnam. The green pine forest, the blue sky and the purple flowers on the cliff mix together to create a spectacular picture of nature.
– Arrival to Dong Van at the end of the afternoon, stroll through the alleys of this old district with houses of Chinese architecture older than a hundred years. Here is the home to several ethnic minority groups: the Hmong, Dzao, Lolo and La Chi.

– Morning visit to Dong Van Market – a very typical and authentic market to make friends with H’mong, Dzao, Lo Lo, Cao Lan locals. You can buy traditional bags and costumes for your kids.
– Pay a visit to approximately one-hundred-year-old palace of Vuong Duc Chinh – a powerful and wealthy King of H’mong people. Located in a beautiful valley of Sa Phin Commune, this spectacular palace was a perfect blend of traditional H’mong and Chinese architectural style.
– Pass by Ma Pi Leng pass (nicknamed as the happiness road) on the way from Dong Van to Meo Vac. This is one of the four legendary passes in Northern Vietnam. After climbing 15 – 20 kilometers to the top of the pass, your family will capture a picturesque landscape of small curves Nho Que River through the majestic mountains.
– Spend one hour on boat exploring poetic Nho Que River and visiting some remote ethnic village near China border.
– When arriving to Meo Vac, go trekking to Lo Lo ethnic group villages or village with Chinese houses to observe their daily life.

– Board a motorboat to cruise on Ba Be Lake (the largest freshwater lake in Vietnam) and along Nang River. Located in an exceptional national park for its rich nature, the lake extends over 500 ha and has an average depth of 20 meters.
– Discover Puong Cave where you can admire the stalactites and stalagmites that are created through the river erosion. Moreover, this is also a home to thousands of bats.
– After disembarking, go cycling with kids around Coc Toc village to experience the local life of Tay ethnic minority group. They house was built in traditional Tay fashion on stilts. They are very nice, friendly and hospitable to visitors.
– Enjoy the dinner with Tay’s specialties such as grilled fish, hanged pork, shrimp dish, smoked sausage and corn wine.
