Upon arrival in Noi Bai International Airport, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After checking in, enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure. Overnight in the hotel in Hanoi.

After having breakfast, it takes 2-hour drive from the hotel to Hoa Lu – the site of Vietnam’s first capital. There are lots of temples dedicated to Emperor of Dinh and Le Dynasty such as Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh. You will get more knowledge about the heroic histories of these kings in Chinese Wars. If time permits, take a half-hour walk up in the stunning landscape surrounding.

Then, depart for a traditional lunch in Tam Coc which is about 10 kilometers far from Hoa Lu. After having lunch, taking a private sampan along Tam Coc – Bich Dong. As the boat gently slices through the water, you will see lots of limestone karst formations, rice paddy fields, local fisherfolk, and village life along the river.

Then, it’s a good idea for going biking to visit real villages and appalling scenery. After about one hour, we will come back to hotel in Hanoi.

In the morning, we will transfer to Halong bay to enjoy 2 days/ 1-night excursion on the cruise. It’s voted as one of seven new natural wonders by travelers all over the world. While the lunch is served, the boat will cruise towards the bay.

In the afternoon, you can choose to spend some time relaxing on board, sunbathing, etc. Or you can leave the boat to go kayaking, swimming, mountain-climbing, fishing, and cave-discovering, etc. Then, come back to the sundeck of the cruise to enjoy sunset party. Overnight on the cruise.

In the fourth day of this Northern Vietnam and Laos tour, you should wake up early to enjoy the unforgettable sunrise and join Taichi class on the sundeck. It helps to charge full your energy for today.

After breakfast, the cruise will lead you to some other stunning limestone islets. You can take on a boat to some fishing villages such as Vang Vieng and Cong Dam floating villages.

Before getting lunch on the cruise, you will learn how to make spring rolls – a popular food in Vietnam by taking part in a cooking demonstration class. Then, weave back to the pier where our driver will pick you up for transfer to Hanoi. Free at leisure in a hotel in Hanoi.

Today, we will have a city tour around Hanoi. Depart from the hotel at 08:30 for a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex. This site includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of the beloved national hero, his stilt-house at which he lived from 1958 to 1969 and Ho Chi Minh Museum. Lying to one side of the mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda which was built in 1049 by the King Ly Thai To. Then, take a visit to the first university in Vietnam – the Temple of Literature which was founded in 1076 to educate Vietnam’s royalty.

Ending the morning with a visit to West Lake and the sixth century Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda. From here, stroll along the lakeside about 700 meters, we will come to the nearby Taoist temple of Quan Thanh dedicated to Tran Vu – one of the principal deities in Taoism.

We will start the afternoon with a tour to Museum of Ethnology. This museum offers informative and well-documented display on the 54 ethnic minority groups in Vietnam. The last destination for this day is Hanoi’s Old Quater. Scroll through Dong Xuan Market and Hoan Kiem Lake to go shopping. If time permits, we will enjoy Water Puppet Show before the flight to Luang Prabang.

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang, our driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.

In the morning, we will take a boat up along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, which are home to hundreds of statues of Buddha with different shapes and size. These statues are left by devotees.

On the way to come back, pay a visit to Living Crafts Centre located on the bank of Mekong River. This is a perfect destination to learn more about the interesting world of Laos handicrafts and textiles. You can also wander through the weaving room and observe the experts to create the masterpieces.

Next, make a stop in Kuangsi Waterfall – the biggest one in the Luang Prabang area with three tiers. There is an astounding pool for locals and tourists to swim freely.  Moreover, when coming here, you have chances of meeting and chatting with locals – H’mong village.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

We have all day to discover Luang Prabang. We will visit Wat Xieng Thong, one of the largest and the most decorative temples. Then, take a visit to Wat Mai with its beautiful gilded facade. Don’t forget to climb 328 steps to the top of Mount Phousi and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

Then, visit the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre, which is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the many ethnic groups existing in Laos today and in the past.

When the sun sets, take a one-hour walking tour to Luang Prabang night market. It opens from dusk until about 10 p.m. There are lots of souvenirs with many kinds such as colorful textiles, carvings, ceramics, clothing, handmade paper, etc. You can choose whatever you love!

You can freely use your free time to scroll around Luang Prabang city before our driver picks you up at your hotel for a transfer to Luang Prabang International Airport.
